WHAT'S REALLY GOING ON??
This photo is being widely distributed on the Internet showing Senator Barack Obama without his hand over his heart during the playing of the National Anthem- not the reciting of the Pledge of allegiance. According to Military Etiquette, http://www.ngasc.org/Companion/flag.htm, Obama did breach flag protocol, however there is no evidence that Obama will not recite the pledge and he has at times placed his hand over his heart during the playing of the National Anthem. I'm no Obama fan, but his problem is NOT the breach of protocol he exhibited by not placing his hand over his heart during the playing of the National Anthem- it's his liberal views- http://www.issues2000.org/Senate/Barack_Obama.htm. For example, Obama's position on the 2nd amendment- the right to keep and bear arms- is best summarized in this quote:
I believe in keeping guns out of our inner cities, and that our leaders must say so in the face of the gun manufacturer's lobby.
Conservatives need to keep their eye on the ball and not get distracted by rumors and gossip. Obama can easily overcome a protocol slip- he should not be able to escape his liberal views. The link to Snopes.com that includes video is below.

JEB BUSH'S TAKE ON GOP PREZ CANDIDATES!
Former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush didn't endorse any of the current Republican candidates, but he gave his two cents worth on the Republican candidates' greatest strengths.

Rudy Giuliani: "Direct, sees the world the way it is, and he's direct and he communicates well and he has high energy and tremendous personality."

Fred Thompson: "Committed conservative." He added that Thompson is "new at the game."

John McCain: "His courage. I was in my bed watching this with my wife and I got out of bed and started cheering," when McCain mentioned the woodstock line during the last debates.

Mitt Romney: "Intellectual curiosity. . .He's incredibly smart and asks the questions necessary to find that common ground for the next challenges we face, which politics is not very good at right now."

Mike Huckabee: "I like him. He's a great speaker and clear-minded about the importance of moral principles."

PRACTICE BOMB DROPPED
ON VIRGINIA BEACH!
VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. -- The Navy said a small, inert training bomb fell Tuesday from an fighter jet that was heading to Oceana Naval Air Station. No one was hurt.
The Navy said the bomb landed near a warehouse in the resort city of Virginia Beach. Minimal damage was reported. The F/A-18C Hornet was returning to Oceana following a training mission at the Navy's bombing range in Dare County, N.C., when it dropped the bomb. The jet landed safely. Naval authorities were investigating. This sort of thing has happened a number of times at Fort Sill. They lob a mortar into someones backyard who lives next to the range. Since the advent of smart munitions, the incidents are fewer, but it happens.
